What did your father drive?

Steven Lewis is senior editor at Read650, a columnist at Talking Writing, and a member of the Sarah Lawrence College Writing Institute faculty. The author of eight books, Steve’s essays have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and elsewhere, and he divides his time between writing spaces in New Paltz, New York and Hatteras Island, North Carolina.
