Jai Chakrabarti wins an O. Henry Award!

Jai Chakrabarti’s short story, “The Import” has been included in The Best Short Stories 2024: The O. Henry Prize Winners, chosen by guest editor Amor Towles and series editor Jenny Minton Quigley. Jai, who has appeared on our Writers Read stage, is the author of the novel A Play for the End of the World (Knopf, 2021). He is also the author of the story collection A Small Sacrifice for an Enormous Happiness (Knopf, 2023). His short fiction has also been anthologized in The Best American Short Stories, and was awarded a Pushcart Prize.
