Very Funny Lady

Liza Donnelly has been a cartoonist and writer for The New Yorker for forty years. A few years ago, while watching the State Of The Union, Liza discovered that she could quickly draw on her iPad and post her cartoons instantaneously on social media. The response was immediate and positive, and since then she’s live-drawn the Oscars, the Emmys, the Golden Globes, the Grammys, and more — and on Sunday, May 1, she’ll be live drawing a Read650 event, “What’s So Funny?” at City Winery, NYC — a show featuring personal stories from a dozen other New Yorker cartoonists! At a reception following the show, Liza will also be signing copies of her new book, Very Funny Ladies. Reserve your seats now and come join the fun!
