NYC is OPEN!
Read650 Returns to the Stage
New York City has officially re-opened, and on Wednesday, July 7 at 12:30 p.m., Read650 returns to the stage to present a one-hour program of true, five-minute personal stories in the Bryant Park Reading Room, directly behind the New York Public Library. This one-hour performance is free and open to the public and will feature a cast of talented writers performing audience favorites we’ve featured on stage and in our print anthologies. Please join us—and bring a friend!
This event is free, but your donation is an investment in our mission to promote writers, and we can’t do it without you! Thank you for your support.

Writing Institute Fall Schedule
It may be summer now, but the writing instructors at the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College are already dreaming of the fall: a season ripe for new beginnings. Whether that means treating yourself to new notebook (who doesn't love that new notebook smell!) or embarking on a new writing project, with September comes an air of possibility that's always exciting.
This fall more than thirty courses are offered across many genres. Maybe this is the year that you start writing your novel, or join a workshop to help you finish it. Or maybe you're keen on diving into the language of poetics with our poetry workshops, or exploring writing for children and young adults. Wherever your writing journey takes you, we've got a class to guide you along as you write your best story. Learn more here
