We Hear You
Our team at Read650 has worked to keep the wheels turning—and the words coming—throughout the pandemic and the uncertainty of these last many months. And while we've received lots of encouragement about the weekly podcast we launched this past spring, the enthusiasm for our live event in Bryant Park this summer and last month's live "Haunted" show at the Ossie Davis Theater in New Rochelle reminded us that much of the magic of Read650 is in the live performances we present for an audience.
We're excited about the future, and—thanks to all of you who told us you want to see us live and back on stage—we're now making plans to resume our live events in New York City. Stay tuned!

Set the alarm! It’s time to write about ...time. Are you running late? On time or a day early? In 650 words, tell us about that flight, the grandfather clock, those church bells, the marathon, the curfew, or the temp job where time stood still. What about your first wrist watch, working overtime, daylight savings, or jet lag? Please start writing, because times-a-wasting. Deadline: December 1, 2021
This Week’s Podcast
Sometimes there’s an upside to being upside down — sort of like the silver lining we hope is inside every storm cloud. This episode is part of Carnegie Hall’s Voices of Hope festival, which examines the life-affirming power of music and the arts during times of crisis and features true, silver-lining stories from Fran Tunno, Kathleen McKitty Harris, Sally G. Hoskins, and Jennifer Shneiderman. • To receive the series directly to your phone or smart speaker, subscribe wherever you get your podcasts: Spotify, Amazon, Audible, iHeartRadio, Stitcher, Apple Podcasts or Google Podcasts.
You help us bring performances to a wide audience via our weekly podcast, and with your help, we'll soon return to theaters and other venues with events that bring community together and inspire other writers.
Your gift today will help support our long-term mission to promote digital and live performances celebrating the spoken word. You make everything we do possible, and we can't do it without you!
