Celebrating Latin Culture in the U.S.
Carnegie Hall’s current season is enlivened by Nuestros Sonidos (Our Sounds)—a joyous, ongoing celebration of the vibrant sounds and enormous influence of Latin culture in the United States.
As a proud Carnegie Hall festival partner, Writers Read presents Nuestras Voces (Our Voices) featuring personal stories about Latin culture in the United States. From ceviche to arroz con pollo, from Celia Cruz to Sofia Vergara, from García Marquez to Isabel Allende, we’ll present true, five-minute tales of Latin culture, heritage, and identity from writers with origins in Cuba, Mexico, Panama, The Dominican Republic, Colombia, Brazil, and Puerto Rico.
On the eve of Cinco de Mayo, join Writers Read founder Ed McCann with guest editor and co-host Ines Rodrigues for a joyful afternoon of storytelling, food, and wine. LIVE EVENT 1PM Sunday, May 4 • City Winery NYC
